That about says it all - educating students and teachers to benefit business. Located in Beaverton, BEC is all about bringing proficiency learning to Oregon. It receives most of its funding from contracts with the ODE. Concentrates on teacher development in proficiency learning. It also provides internships for high schools and college students. While it may have at one time engaged in partnerships that truly benefitted youth, today it marches to the tune of the OEIB and the 40-40-20 plan.
